A Little About Me...

I’m always filling my brain with something that fuels my curiosity. Having a large range of interests and skillsets, I’m fascinated by new ideas, but not afraid of exploring old ones, striking that delicate balance between art and technology. Although what I do for a living changes from time to time, my drive and desire to create never dims. I got into the digital design space because of the unlimited possibilities and enjoyment of the constant changes in innovation, technology and thinking of what will be next. This ever-changing industry has kept me on my toes, and I’ve loved every minute of it.

While I have most frequently held a position as a motion designer, it is only one of my credentials as a diverse creative talent. Beyond my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from SCAD and seven-plus years of professional experience, some might see my large digital and tangible skills as a disadvantage and wonder if “a jack of all trades is a master of none”. Well like the rest of the saying goes, “oftentimes better than a master of one” I see no reason to set limitations on what I can do and learn. What I have mastered is a strong foundation and a well-trained eye for color, light, composition, texture, space, perspective, shape, and typography. The medium is merely a way to execute these principles that translate across all media. Anyone can learn a skill, but there is a difference when looking at the final product.

My background as a classically trained fine artist and photographer, combined with an extensive design and production career gives me a very thorough understanding of visual effects, photography, videography, motion design, typography, and graphic design. I believe in the balance of all of the assets from the visual medium, to the copy and design coming together to make a powerful story.

Throughout my career as an Art Director, Motion Designer, Producer, Photographer, Videographer, and Digital Artist, I have played an integral part of the creative process and have worn many hats at any given time. Because of this, I have learned more effective ways to perform my job while thriving working in a team-oriented atmosphere. I have a proven track record of collaborating and leading people in a positive creative direction while bringing a graceful refinement to all of my projects.

I enjoy meeting new people, learning new things, good stories, and seeing how many animals I can have at any given time. Reach out if you want to collaborate or talk about your animals.
